Charli-Jo Tyrer, The Blind AI

<img class="section-mark" src="/images/blind-ai.png" width="600" height="527" alt="The Blind AI logo: on black, an almond-shaped eye outlined twice in pink, with a solid turquoise pupil inside a sunburst of fine turquoise lines. Pink and turquoise circuit traces branch out all round the eye and end in small open circles, like eyelashes made of wiring. Underneath, BLIND AI in tall cream capitals.">

Charli-Jo Tyrer founded Carrados. Their professional work appears in [Reports](https://carrados.com/reports/), [Papers](https://carrados.com/papers/) and [Perspectives](https://carrados.com/perspectives/). This desk is the informal side: experiments tried that morning, often on an iPhone, often with a coffee, written up the same day for [The Blind AI](https://carrados.com/blind-ai/).

## Dispatches

- [The Day the Earth Fell Silent](https://carrados.com/blind-ai/the-day-the-earth-fell-silent/index.md) (29 October 2026): A blind tester pastes what VoiceOver says into an AI coding agent on her iPhone, and a live web app is fixed in minutes, with no sighted developer in between.
- [The Persistence of Vision](https://carrados.com/blind-ai/the-persistence-of-vision/index.md) (28 October 2026): A blind designer explains how they made a monogram for a fictional Italian fashion house, by designing it in geometry and code and checking the result through descriptions.
- [A totally blind artist made their song accessible to deaf people. Apparently, we’re doing this now.](https://carrados.com/blind-ai/apparently-were-doing-this-now/index.md) (26 October 2026): A totally blind artist adds readable lyrics and a timed-caption player to their song, with AI agents handling the implementation and caption timing still to be checked.
- [Sloppy thinking](https://carrados.com/blind-ai/sloppy-thinking/index.md) (25 October 2026): A definition for the reflex that dismisses AI-assisted work out of hand, and a badge to download, print and cut out for labelling it.
